There is a very wide range of dive torches available on the market, they range from small hand held torches to sophisticated umbilical torches. The small LED rotating bezel torches cost as little as £7 or £8 and run using standard  AA batteries. We supply alkaline batteries that have been hermetically sealed to reduce the chances of leaking in diving conditions. Rechargeable batteries are also available for these torches.

More sophisticated umbilical torches can cost up to, and more than £500; these torches have separate containers which house a special battery, made up of a number of cells. These batteries are usually made of rechargeable NiCd, NiMH or Lithium-ion cells which can deliver enough energy to the high power torches.

We have a lot of experience with dive torch batteries as we have built Custom Battery Packs to fit into dive torches (as well as Dive Computers).

It would be helpful if you could Contact Us with the following specifications:

  • Voltage requirements
  • Capacity of the battery (mAh or Ah rating)
  • Battery chemistry (NiMH, NiCd or Lithium)
  • Cells used or pack/individual cell dimensions
  • Battery terminations
  • Make and model of your dive torch.

To speed up the process, a photograph of the current battery pack, or even better; physically sending us the pack will enable us to create a direct replacement.
