Cell Pack Solutions have been shortlisted for the Export Award at the 2022 Made in the North East Awards. This is huge news for the company, baring in mind we classed ourselves as Reluctant Exporters just 18 Months ago. The change came following the acquisition of the Tracer brand of Lithium Rechargeable Batteries, which kickstarted a shift in our view on exporting and beginning our journey into the global market.
Since the acquisition the team have gone from strength to strength to overcome any obstacles in their way. Don’t forget, the move came at the height of BREXIT confusion and in the middle of a Global Pandemic. Not to mention the majority of goods being shipped are classified as dangerous goods. In hindsight, what were we thinking? Despite these complications though, we have loved building new relationships with customers supplying them with Tracers’ renowned portable power solutions. A special thanks must go to our new Export Sales Manager and our incredible Logistics team who ship lithium batteries worldwide.
To date we have exported to over 30 different countries worldwide, including Australia, Canada, and most of Europe. Supplying businesses across the Emergency Services, Film & Television, Construction and Surveillance & Security Industries.
One of the latest export projects was supplying Tracer 24V LiFePO4 batteries to a company in the United States to power their industrial grade aeroplane disinfection systems. Their new portable system can be used to remove dangerous mould, bacteria, viruses, odours, and harmful microbes with minimal impact on the eco-system. It’s a new partnership that spans the Atlantic, and one which we look forward to growing in the future.
The awards dinner is taking place at the Hilton Newcastle & Gateshead on 24th March 2022. For more information on the awards you can go to Insider Media Limited.
