The last meeting of the South Tyneside Manufacturing Forum (STMF) proved very interesting indeed. We heard from Pamela Petty, Managing Director of Ebac, the British manufacturer of world class dehumidifiers and water coolers. She told of the story of her company’s history and its desire to bring back production of white goods, specifically washing machines back to the UK. During the process, they also managed to take up the reins of a company that makes chest freezers and this story was picked up by Lord Digby Jones and you can watch for yourself on BBC2 during Thursday 24th May.
The STMF meets monthly, a wide selection of manufacturing related issues and occasional master classes make them very interesting to attend.
