We were shortlisted in the 2010 Future Manufacturing Awards run by the EEF. This is what they say about themselves:
“EEF is the most powerful force backing UK manufacturing. Powering its growth with potent thought leadership. Making it fit for the future – and effective in the present – with switched-on business services. And representing its interests at the heart of government. When manufacturing gets moving, EEF is its engine.”
We were invited to the very swanky Oulton Hall in Leeds and were treated to an excellent lunch. Unfortunately, this year was not our year. If you are interested the winners of all the regions, they can be found EEF’s the Manufacturing Awards page. Entries for next year’s competition are open next year, why not give it a go.
Entering awards gives you a great opportunity to take a look at the workings of your company and win or lose you will get some benefit form doing this. We have been quite fortunate over the years and we feel that winning, coming runner up or even just been shortlisted has been one of the factors that have helped us to grow and keep our head in front of our competition in the highly competitive battery market.
